This solar-powered timepiece takes inspiration from Japan’s cherry blossom trees at night. During cherry blossom season in Japan, in late March or early April, at sunset many parks and gardens light up their cherry trees. The illuminated flowers, which have an ethereal glow, are called ‘yozakura’ – cherry blossoms at night.
With a modern, compact and angular case design, crafted entirely from lightweight titanium, the silhouette of this timepiece flows seamlessly from the case, through its lugs, to the bracelet. It has sleek lines and a slim profile with a super-hard black coating for increased scratch resistance.
Under a sapphire crystal glass the dial is sprinkled with a fine glitter against a purple gradation – its circular pattern depicts the cherry blossoms glowing in the night sky. The titanium bracelet of this watch features a micro-adjustable clasp for added personal comfort.
The watch is powered by an in-house built 3X62 Solar-powered movement with GPS functionality, its exceptional accuracy being updated remotely by GPS satellite when the wearer moves between time zones. It can be charged by any light source – either natural sunlight or artificial light – for convenience.
