5 reviewsIn 1969, Seiko launched the ‘Astron’ – the world’s first ever Quartz watch, named for the Greek word meaning ‘Space’ and ‘Stars.’ Its release led Seiko down a route of further innovation, inspired by the possibility of humans one day being able to reach the stars. Building on the collection theme of ‘Solidity,’ this ‘Morning Star’ Solar GPS is inspired by this stellar aspiration.
Built in a black titanium case and bracelet, sapphire crystal glass encases a sparkling blue graduated dial. Gold-coloured highlights express the glow of a morning star in a starry night sky. This piece has sleek lines and a slim profile that seamlessly flows through the lugs to the bracelet.
The watch is powered by a 5X53 Solar-powered in-house built movement with GPS functionality, so it has exceptional accuracy being updated remotely by GPS satellite when the wearer moves between time zones.
Seiko Astron: the world’s first GPS solar watch – powered by light, automatically adjusted to your exact time through the latest satellite technology.
On a recent trip abroad, the GPS-adjusted time effortlessly as I landed in different time zones. It’s the perfect mix of cutting-edge technology and luxury design.
I’ve owned this watch for over a year, and the solar GPS function works flawlessly. No battery replacements, no lag—it’s built for the long haul.
Opening this box felt like opening a piece of the universe. The intricate dial design and the premium finish were breathtaking. A luxurious experience from the start.
The Astron Solar GPS outshines other tech-heavy watches with its stunning design and precise timekeeping. Most smartwatches don’t come close to its class and reliability.
I gifted this watch to myself after a major milestone at work. The Morning Star-inspired design feels like it’s telling me to aim higher every day. It’s a special watch for special moments.
